In 1995, Yahoo! hired Organic, Inc., an interactive agency, to redesign their logo to the one we see today. The project was executed by Organic, Inc. designer Kevin Farnham. The current typeface comes from a T.26 font named Able.

A purple version of the Yahoo! logo exists as well.
The original logo was known as the “Jumping Y Guy,” which featured a blue circle representing the Earth, and a yellow Y-shaped stick figure leaping from the Earth, backed by a purple shadow.
